The Magistrates’ Court in Oshodi, Lagos, has remanded 34 suspects for illegal occupation of medians in the Ojo-Alaba Road corridor. The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at the Lagos Waste Management Authority, Muyiwa Gbadegesin, made this known on Tuesday.
Muyiwa said that the suspects were arrested for offences ranging from trading, residing and defecation on the road median and setbacks, further saying that During enforcement operations conducted last Saturday, a total of 34 individuals, comprising 32 males and two females, were apprehended.
The operation was conducted by operatives from the Lagos Environmental Sanitation Corps, popularly known as KAI.
