Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have started preparations for the WAFU B U-20 Nations Cup, and head coach Aliyu Zubairu have selected majority of the players that participated at the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in his squad.

‎Zubairu’s side are drawn in Group A with hosts Ghana, and Benin Republic, while Niger Republic,Togo, Ivory Coast, and Burkina Faso are in Group B.

‎However, the competition will serve as part of the Flying Eagles preparations for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup. They will face Ghana in their opening fixture on Thursday, 10 July, and face will face Benin Republic in their second group game three days later.
