Nigeria’s three tiers of government – federal, state and local, shared the highest revenue of N2.2 trillion for August 2025, signed in a communique by the Federal Account Allocation committee(FAAC), as disclosed on Wednesday.


‎The communiqué stated that from the N1,478.593 trillion total distributable revenue, the Federal Government received a total sum of N684.462 billion and the State Governments received a total sum of N347.168 billion.


‎While the the local government council received N267.652 billion, and  the sum of N179.311 billion (13 percent of mineral revenue) was shared with the benefiting state as derivation revenue.
