Nigeria’s three tiers of government – federal, state and local, shared the highest revenue of N2.2 trillion for August 2025, signed in a communique by the Federal Account Allocation committee(FAAC), as disclosed on Wednesday.
The communiqué stated that from the N1,478.593 trillion total distributable revenue, the Federal Government received a total sum of N684.462 billion and the State Governments received a total sum of N347.168 billion.
While the the local government council received N267.652 billion, and the sum of N179.311 billion (13 percent of mineral revenue) was shared with the benefiting state as derivation revenue.
