Some former members of the Kebbi State House of Assembly have passed a vote of confidence in Governor Nasir Idris, citing his impressive performance and people-oriented leadership within just two years in office.
The endorsement was made on Monday during a courtesy visit by the Association of Ex-Lawmakers to the governor at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi.
The forum, led by its Chairman and former Speaker of the Assembly, Hassan Shalla, said the gesture was a mark of appreciation for the governor’s developmental strides across the state, noting that the state capital has witnessed a visible transformation under the leadership of Dr. Nasir Idris.
In his response, Idris expressed gratitude for the solidarity and described the endorsement as a morale booster for his administration, further appealed to the ex-lawmakers and all stakeholders in the state to continue supporting his administration in the collective effort to move Kebbi forward.
