A yet to be identified man has lost his life while trying to damage electrical cables at a transformer close to Ribadu Square in Jimeta, Yola North Local Government Area, Adamawa State.

It was reported that, on January 19, 2025, around 6:00 AM, the Adamawa State Police Command found the remains of an unknown person close to an electric transformer at Ribadu Square.

The man was allegedly trying to damage electrical cables when he encountered a live current, experiencing a serious electric shock that knocked him unconscious and eventually resulted in his death.

The Adamawa State Commissioner of Police CP Dankombo Morris, has delivered a stern warning to the community about the risks associated with interfering with electrical transformers.
