Nigerian rapper, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has come under heavy criticism following a recent comment he made about fornication.

On Sunday, in a terse post on X, Falz wrote, “Fornication is not a sin.”

The comment sparked outrage online, particularly among members of the religious community, with many citing biblical references to counter his claim.

While some, especially from religious groups, condemned his statement and quoted Bible verses in opposition, others defended Falz’s right to express his opinion.

A user on X, Olivia, tweeting as #Blessing_, suggested that Falz might be among “end-time celebrities” spreading false teachings.

She wrote, “1 Cor. 6:18 tells us to flee from it, as it is even a sin against one’s own body. The Bible also asks believers in 1 Cor. 5:9-11 to avoid fornicators. Galatians 5 makes it clear that God despises fornication.

“God instructed us to resist all sin, but when it comes to fornication — a sin of the flesh — He asked us to flee.

“I guess you guys are part of the end-time celebrities paid to spread false teachings.

“Painful… I liked you.”

Another user, Fash Daddy, tweeting as #thefashygram, echoed the same view in repetition, “Fornication is a sin, FLEE. Fornication is a sin, FLEE. Fornication is a sin, FLEE. Fornication is a sin, FLEE.”
