Several passengers have been confirmed injured as an Abuja en-route Kaduna train today derailed after a collision. Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, Kayode Opeifa, confirmed the incident to News men today.
According to him, the train encountered an incident near Asham, further explaining that no person had died while filing the report; however, the injured passengers had been brought back to Idu train station for necessary medical attention.
Opeifa said NRC is currently carrying out an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the incident.
