Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has commissioned a newly constructed five-kilometre road in Aguata Local Government Area of the state, in furtherance of community-driven development. The road was built by a private individual and indigene of Ezinifite, Chief Anthony Obele.
According to a statement on Thursday, by the governor’s Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, the project—executed through a Public-Private-Community Partnership, an initiative championed by the Soludo administration—represents a milestone in the state’s infrastructure development and a strong example of collaborative governance.
Aburime said the road, which traverses key neighbourhoods in Ezinifite, will ease transportation challenges, enhance local commerce, and improve the quality of life of residents who rely on the route for daily activities.
Also, at the commissioning ceremony, Soludo commended Obele’s commitment, describing the project as a model for sustainable community development that goes beyond the capacity of government alone. He emphasised that partnerships that combine private initiative, public support and community participation are critical to accelerating infrastructure development across Anambra State.
