Singer, Gabriel Oche Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G, has stated that performing at political events doesn’t make him affiliated with any party, further explaining that he’s an independent artist and was only doing his job by performing at political events.
Speaking in a interview, Terry G said it was unfair for fans to judge him for performing at political events when he has never endorsed any party or candidate at such events.
Recall that Terry G received backlash on social media for performing at President Bola Tinubu’s pre-inauguration concert at the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, in May, 2023.
In November 2023, he called out the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, over alleged debt, claiming that some persons hijacked the money he was supposed to get for performing at the controversial event.
